  2. About the Demo Version
  3. Please note that you have received a ‚ÄúDemo‚Äù version of Mystery Box. When you register your copy you will receive information from me on how to personalize your copy and create an unlimited life copy with full functionality.  This information is included in the file called ‚ÄúPersonalizing Mystery Box‚Äù found on the the Mystery Box distribution disk that I will send to you when I receive your Shareware registration fee.  You can tell if you have a ‚ÄúDemo‚Äù version by looking at the About screen.  If there is a message displaying the number of days left in the Trial Period in the middle of the screen and/or the words ‚Äú(Shareware Demo)‚Äù appear on the screen then you have the ‚ÄúDemo‚Äù version. Otherwise someone's name will be displayed indicating that it has been registered to that person.

There are a maximum of 30 days in the trial period. If you receive a copy of Mystery Box with less than the full thirty days left, contact me for a free copy the ‚ÄúDemo‚Äù version. You can get the latest ‚ÄúDemo‚Äù version from me any time by sending me a blank disk along with a self-addressed stamped envelope or just send me $5.00 and I will do the rest.  I will also post the most current ‚ÄúDemo‚Äù version to Compuserve and GEnie as they are released.

  55. If you have acquired a ‚ÄúRegistered‚Äù copy of Mystery Box, Please do not continue to distribute it. Instead follow one of these options:

  57. 1) Contact me for a ‚ÄúDemo‚Äù version while you evaluate your registered copy. However, please don't pass around the registered version.

  59. 2) Remove the registration from your copy of Mystery Box following this procedure:

  61. a) Display the About dialog using the About Mystery Box‚Ķ menu option from the Apple menu.

  63. b) When the dialog appears, press and hold down the Option key and click on the Mystery Box icon:

  86. Press OK and you now have a ‚ÄúDemo‚Äù copy of Mystery Box. You may play with this version and pass it around to you friends.
